Testimonials & Case Studies
It has evolved over the years that at least 70% of my day to day treatments are for Back Problems and all sorts of other Muscular/Skeletal/Nerve related complaints.
The reason for this is, people are very keen generally to talk to each other about such ailments,
and throughout my entire professional career at least 90% of people have come through word of mouth. A few examples of such treatments follow.

Sciatica.
Sciatica is very common and very painful.
Usually it is a painful and frightening ordeal, but not many cases take more than a few weeks to respond, and some are better after only 2 or 3 treatments. Here are a few of the more severe ones:
Lady in her early 60's.
This lady, whom I will refer to as Alison came along in a great deal of pain.
I have only ever known one case of Sciatica that did not originate from the lower back, but usually the pain is far worse in the legs and/or buttock. With Alison it was so bad her entire leg was swollen double, and on more than one occasion she just broke down and sobbed with fear, pain and despair as she walked through the door .
Although I do not believe anybody can heal everyone, I generally have a very good success rate with Sciatica, and I was able to reassure Alison that I was confident I would get her right in time.
She and her husband liked to walk and were members of a rambling club. The dead line set was a rambling holiday she was longing to go on in so many weeks!
As with most treatments, I generally employ a combination of therapy techniques when treating Sciatica, including what may be termed Spiritual Healing, combined with Remedial and Therapeutic massage techniques, Reflexology and Kinsiology Techniques.
At this time I had also just incorporated the use of an outstanding healing instrument called a Selfic Stiloself from the highly technically advanced Spiritual Community of Damanhur in Italy that I have had close associations with for a number of years now.
Working with these various methods had proven to bring impressive results and I had Alison up and walking, just in time to go on her holiday!
Some years later her husband came along for some treatment and was pleased to report Alison had had absolutely no recurring problem with her back or Sciatica, and was still enjoying walking.
Sciatica continued.
Young married man in his mid to late 30's working as a shop manager.
This young man we will call John.
John's father was an old friend and patient of many years standing, and it was he who first called me as his son was really desperate.
At the time he was waiting to go into hospital to have his vertebrae fused as a last resort. He had had terrible back and Sciatic pain for about 6 months, had been off work and did not know which way to turn.
He came for around 2 months, first twice a week and then once a week. As he improved and started to be able to work again he came less often, for about 2 more months, before I got him completely right. He had no operation and eventually returned to full time work.
Not long ago he called to ask if I would visit his now dying father and help him to pass over peacefully and joyfully.
Whilst there, John told me it had taken him 2 years to mentally and emotionally get over the ordeal, it had been that traumatic. His back has remained fine though, and his life is back on track.

Trapped nerve - Retired German Gentleman.
The nerve was trapped in the upper neck area and was resulting in the patient not being able to shave or even brush his own hair.
Fortunately for him, it released during his very first treatment and he returned the next week waving his arm above his head with a wide grin on his face. He was going off to Germany to visit distant relatives, so to be on the safe side I lent him my travelling neck support. I guess he must have been fine as I did not see him again, or my neck support!

Needless to say many people suffer with a wide range of tension, stress, and headaches
These two stand out in my memory, both because of the severity of each case, and how typical the symptoms were.
Lady, 2 years after hysterectomy
It was her boss who sent this lady along, we will call her Joan. Joan was ‘the salt of the earth type’ who managed her boss’s grocery shop. Since her hysterectomy she had had severe tension in the head and neck. So much so, that for the first few treatments she had been tremendously dizzy afterwards, ‘which was good!’ as more blood was getting to her brain. She could not sleep and found any form of relaxation impossible. After a few weeks of regular treatment and relaxation breathing exercises she was on the mend, sleeping through the night and, as she put it, smiling again!
It is interesting to note that with all the ladies I have seen following a hysterectomy, without exception so far, the ones who told me they have been fine have followed the hospitals instructions to the letter regarding the recovery plan and how much they can do and when. However the ones who have said they have never really got over it have all admitted they tried to do too much too soon!

Back pain from mental and emotional stress
Stress will always register in the physical and it is often certain causes of tension that register in particular areas of the body. Carrying too much weight and responsibility in life and having resulting stiff shoulders is an obvious one, as is emotional vulnerability in the Solar Plexus and problems in the middle of the back.

Another very common association is deep insecurity worries, often over money as so many of us associate money with security, and problems in the lower back.
A patient told me the husband of a friend was going to come for treatment as there was something very big going on in his life he was stressed about, but she could not tell me what.
We will call him Joe. Joe came along a few times for massage based treatment to try to alleviate his lower back problem . Each visit it was obvious he wanted to talk about what was going on for him, but could not bring himself to speak.
He said the treatment was helping, but I did not honestly think I was getting anywhere near the route cause. Without giving it any particular thought, I musingly said one day "‘You know lower back problems are so often related to some form of security problem, and often this is related to money issues".
As I felt his body go totally rigid, I realised I had unwittingly hit on an issue. Much later I learnt he had been awaiting trial for fraud!

Hidden emotional stress
It is not uncommon for someone to come along with a manifested physical complaint when what is underlying it is a deep emotional problem they have no conscious way of releasing.
One such lady came with a back problem.
After a while she felt confident enough to confide that her only daughter had been killed some years before. She had never grieved, as her husband believed the best way to cope was to not speak about it, and be strong for each other.
She longed to talk about her beloved daughter, how wonderful she had been, how deeply she missed her and how old she would be now, but she had no outlet. During her treatments she told me all about her, and how devastating it felt as a mother to loose your only child.
After a while her back felt better and before finishing her treatments with me she told me she could not express what a relief it had been to be able to talk freely in this way. The awful pent up feeling inside had gone and even her husband was beginning to loosen up and talk about it a little.

Repetitive Strain Injury
Young Lady doing her O levels.
A regular client turned up one day for her treatment with one of her daughters in tow. She was a studious, serious young lady who had been studying hard and writing a great deal in preparation for her exams. The actual exams were due to be sat the next week and she had been to the doctor and been told she had R.S.I. and could not use her right wrist it was so sore from all the writing. --Big Panic!-- I really did not know if I could help, but I spent a few minutes holding her wrist and giving her healing in the hope it might help.
Later she sat quietly in the healing room whilst her mother received her treatment.
When they got in the car to leave she felt a strong pain, like an energy rush, down her arm and the next day the pain had completely gone.

Post Cancer Recovery - Ex military Gentleman. Farmer in his 60’s
Both he and his wife are hard working people who come along periodically when they acquire any aches and pains. This time they came together which was unusual, both looking pale and worried. It transpired that he had undergone the usual treatments for prostrate cancer. Being a second marriage they had a relatively young family and he was talking about being happy if he could just live a few years more to see them grown and launched. He was not feeling good, and had a variety of symptoms, some of which sounded rather unusual, such as a strange sensation in one foot. His back and shoulders hurt, his circulation was bad and generally he felt very frail and lifeless.
(As part of his treatment he was also on hormone replacement so they were both experiencing hot flushes!)
When beginning to treat his back pain I soon discovered there was a big gap in the energy flow right in the middle of the back down the spine.
He came for a series of treatments during which the focus was mostly on re-establishing the correct energy flow throughout the spine, as well as treating the stiffness, pain and general tension resulting from under going such an ordeal. Also he took on board some simple but effective dietary advice to help his system and especially to aid his circulation generally.
Each week he came he was getting stronger and regaining his old zest. After a few weeks there was no evidence of the energy hole, his foot felt normal, he felt strong again and the general aches and pains had all gone and there was no more talk of just lasting out a few more years until the children had grown!
That was a few years ago now, and he is looking as fit and healthy as he ever did, and is an extremely busy man.

Blocked meridians
It is interesting how often things come around in 3’s. These are two examples of 3 cases of Blocked Lung Meridian that all came my way in quick succession. I have not seen another one since!
Suspected athritis - Lady in her late 80's
Over the years most members of this family have been along with one thing or another and I knew they had a history of arthritis and the Grandmother had suffered for many years with it.
More recently she had developed a new pain in her shoulder and arm. The doctor thought it was arthritis again, but she insisted it was not as she knew well how that felt and this was different.
I was called in to see if I could help and found the Lung Meridian was blocked and that was what was causing the pain. It turned out she had had a bad chest infection the winter before, and yes she did think this pain had started soon after that, although she had not associated the fact.
After a couple of treatments the meridian energy was flowing as it should, and the pain was gone.

Man, building trade mid 40's
This gentleman actually came complaining of a bad back. As that was improving we got to chatting of other things and it transpired he had developed asthma quite recently and had also been told he had arthritis in his shoulder that was causing him a great deal of discomfort as his work was all hands on physical.
I asked if he would like me to examine this as his back had responded well and was better. It turned out that his shoulder pain was also the result of a Blocked Lung Meridian and after a few treatments the pain had completely gone. As an added bonus I told him about the great success I had witnessed with Asthma using the Buteyko method of treatment and he started to practice this. In a very short time his asthma had also disappeared!
He was one happy man, having got 3 nasty complaints treated in one go!

Crippling Recurring Headaches Blocked Gall Bladder Meridian. Young Man. Late 20’s.
This young man came from the south of Lincolnshire and was sent along by his very concerned Father-in-law who had been a most satisfied patient some years previous.
His symptoms were recurring, blinding headaches whenever he got tired.
I realised the pain exactly followed the Gall Bladder Meridian, and upon further questioning discovered a few years before he had driven himself nearly into the ground trying to save a company he worked for from going under. To keep going he plied himself with strong coffee and energy drinks and was working 18 or more hours each day for months on end. He had not associated it, but yes his problems had started soon after this.
On closer examination his Gall Bladder area felt rock hard to the touch and he said that twice he had gone down to the local A&E with awful pains there, only to be told it was trapped wind. His Gall Bladder Meridian was so stressed following this sustained abuse despite him being young and other wise very fit, it had not been able to regain its balance.
It took around 8 weeks of regular treatments to re-establish the balance and following this I suggested a Liver Cleansing Diet for a couple of weeks.

From time to time Jayne finds she will ‘take on’ the condition of the patient and the symptoms, be it physical or emotional, will instantly leave that person and move into Jayne.

This is something not done totally under ‘consciously’ control, but always following a moment of total harmony with the person, and a deep inner agreement in me to do this. | ![]() |
Invariably it happens with very stuck conditions the patient is really struggling with, and the symptoms pass off from me in waves over a time of no longer than a week.
One such case was a friend
This lady was an outdoor type who had tripped and fallen really heavily a few weeks before. Her lower back was just agony, and sometimes she just did not know if she could put one leg in front of the other even to walk.
During her treatment I felt the condition pass onto me and it had completely left her by the time she got off the couch.
Now I was the one who did not know if I could ever walk at times, and for the next week I felt crippled!
It just so happened I had an appointment arranged with a Cranial Osteopath. I told her all about it and she listened to me politely, if rather unbelievingly. When she got me on the couch she exclaimed I must have given myself a really violent jolt as it was only with such a strong jolt that one could get in such a condition!
I said that I had done nothing, but that is exactly what had happened to my friend!’
As usual, over the next 7 days the pain and stiffness left my body in waves and I was absolutely fine.
